![]() Effective Microorganisms to the rescueI read recently that no new animals have been domesticated in the past 2,000 years. That might be changing. With interest at the microscopic level, there is a lot of research happening in biotech, and here is one example of a new wave of 'domestication' of nature's lifeforms. Maybe not "animals", but lifeforms, just the same. Domestication is about learning how to live together productively, consciously. It doesn't have to mean exploitation and misuse, but a peaceful coexistence. That's my hope with this new line of domestication endeavor. Red Cross Helps Tsunami Victims with Effective Microorganisms The Thai Red Cross and EM Kyusei are using Effective Microorganisms for the control of odor and disease suppression at makeshift mortuaries in the aftermath of the tsunami. Thailand (PRWEB) January 26, 2005 -- The Thai military has ordered the use of Effective Microorganisms to be sprayed on the corpses of the victims of the tsunami that hit the area on December 26, 2004.
